Maple Syrup Time

Learn how maple sap is extracted from trees and cooked down into syrup. Participants can visit a 1930’s farmhouse, and explore the barn. Weather dependent program! Watch website for updates.

Preschool Park Pals: Rascally Rabbits

(Another session at 1pm)

Learn about rabbits and how their big ears and teeth help them survive in the wild. A domestic rescuced rabbit will be part of the program. Ages 4,5.

Community Garden Plots Available

Second Ward community residents given first priority

The community garden plots located within the City of Delaware’s Second Ward on Ross Street are available for residents to rent.

These plots located across from Woodward Elementary are part of a partnership between the Second Ward Community Initiative, the Delaware General Health District and the Delaware City Vineyard church. The goal is to give residents more available access to fresh vegetables and fruits.
Residents of the Second Ward have first priority of the plots until April 30. The plots are 10 feet by 10 feet and there is a $5 deposit required.

The Friends of Delaware County District Library Art Fair

The Friends of the Delaware County District Library (DCDL) will host a four-day Friends Art Fair at the Orange Branch Library (7171 Gooding Blvd) on September 14th and 15th from 4-9pm, 16th from noon to 6 pm, and 17th from 10 am – noon.

Over 100 pieces of art, in a variety of mediums, will be on display beginning Sept 12th until the start of the Art Fair during regular library hours. These donated pieces of art include many central Ohio artists as well as some nationally- and internationally-known artists.

Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. As with all Friends projects and programs, the proceeds will benefit the DCDL.
