Learn the basics to get started managing your habitat for native cavity nesting birds with an emphasis on Eastern Bluebirds. Presenters will discuss how to attract birds, good nest box design, habitat and monitoring requirements for success. Continental breakfast and lunch are included in registration price.
Afternoon session: 1-3:45pm Best Practices for Other species.
Join Darlene Sillick and Paula Ziebarth, Ohio Bluebird Society area Contacts. Best practices techniques for trail monitoring and management for various species of cavity nesting birds will be discussed. Learn more about interspecies competition. The afternoon session will be especially helpful to those interested in monitoring trails and those wishing to help with American Kestrel conservation or start a Purple Martin colony. Lunch is included for all participants so make sure to come early if you are registering for the afternoon session only.
